The substance that is located between the tooth's enamel surface and underlying root.


Abrasivity

Tooth wear caused by physical (as opposed to chemical) means. People who 'scrub' their teeth aggressively may show signs of abrasion.


pH neutral

pH is a measure of how acidic or alkaline a substance is. The pH scale ranges from 1 to 14, with 1 being very acidic, 7 - neutral and 14 - very alkaline.

This describes the loss of tooth enamel.
